Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Mailodee website and service. By joining the waitlist or creating an account, you agree to them.

The service

Mailodee lets you send, receive and reply to email for your own apps from one account. Email is sent and received through Amazon SES. Mailodee is in development, and features may change before launch.

Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your login and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything sent with your keys.
  • You may only send from domains you own or are authorized to use, and you must verify each domain before sending.
  • Every account is a paid account. There is no free plan.

Your responsibilities as a sender

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy and the email laws that apply to you and your recipients, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL. In short:

  • Only email people who asked to hear from you or who have an existing relationship with your app.
  • Never send to purchased, rented or scraped lists.
  • Include a working unsubscribe link in any email that is not strictly transactional, and honor requests promptly.

Limits and suspension

New accounts start with low sending limits that rise as they build a clean sending history. When you hit a limit, the API returns a clear error and we email you. We never drop mail silently.

We may pause sending, without notice, for any account that breaks the Acceptable Use Policy, has high bounce or complaint rates, or puts the shared sending reputation at risk. We will tell you why and how to fix it.

Payment

Plans are billed monthly in advance. Prices shown before launch are estimates and may change. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Accounts closed for abuse are not refunded.

Availability

We work to keep Mailodee running and deliverable, but the service is provided as is. Email delivery depends on recipient mail servers we do not control, so we cannot guarantee that every message is delivered or lands in the inbox.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Mailodee is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms. After closing, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy, except the suppression list.

Changes and contact

We will email you before material changes to these terms take effect. Questions go to hello@mailodee.com.
