Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store:

• Your email address.
• Any optional answers you give: how many apps you run, what you would use email for, your biggest email problem, and the plan you were interested in.
• The page that referred you to the form, if your browser sends it.
• The date and time you signed up.

Data we process for customers

When accounts open, customers send and receive email through Mailodee. To do that we process message content, sender and recipient addresses, and delivery events such as deliveries, bounces and complaints. We act as a processor for this data: the customer decides what is sent and to whom.

We keep a suppression list of addresses that bounced or complained so they are never emailed again. This list exists to protect recipients and cannot be turned off.

How we use it

We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.

• To email you when your spot on the waitlist opens, and with occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time.
• To decide what to build and how to price it, using your optional answers.
• To deliver customer email, show delivery logs, and detect and stop abuse.

Who processes it

We use a small set of providers, all based in the United States:

• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) to send and receive email.
• Vercel to host this website.
• Neon to host the database.
• Cloudflare for DNS and email authentication reports.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.

Email sent by Mailodee for its own purposes does not include open or click tracking.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist entries: until the service launches and you have had a chance to join, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Customer message logs: for the retention period of the customer's plan, then deleted.
• Suppression list entries: for as long as the service runs, so a bounced or complained address is never emailed again.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@mailodee.com. We reply within 30 days. Every email we send you includes a way to stop receiving them.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and email waitlist members and customers before the change takes effect.
